Bedi's    [cast your vote]

Style: Indian; has a quaint 'floor boards' ceiling and hand-painted roses on the walls. Check their website for all the details, menus , virtual tour and err... a TV cooking section.
Ambience: Fine, not over big, although there is a function room up the stairs. Oh, they also have a nice flat screen TV up on the far wall, so an ideal venue to watch a football match.
Price: $25 per person (menu) ( menu )
Details: Licensed B.Y.O., near junction with King's Way. Open: Lunch: Mon-Fri noon-2.30pm, Dinner: Mon-Sat 6.30-10pm, Closed: Sundays, Christmas Day & Boxing Day; Licensed, BYO, Corkage $1.50 Person; Cards all, Seats inside 95, Private rooms 40.
Special Comments: The Beef Vindaloo was actually not that hot (no where near as hot as it was the last time I was there!). The onion bahjia went down well as did the naan bread. Personally, I would go back again.

Mietta's Review
"A popular restaurant for a business lunch, take away or a low key dinner. Offering a tandoori and north Indian menu, the food is reliable and served in generous portions, and whilst the restaurant has no frills, the staff go to great efforts to make people feel welcome. The wine list is very limited but BYO is an option."

"This may not be the most refined Indian food in town and the surroundings are homely rather than handsome, but Bedi's is warm and hospitable. Much of that is to do with the bearded man who greets you at the door."

They serve a VERY hot Vindaloo, so that's a thumbs up for me. Madras is probably as hot as I would want it. I would certainly go again, perhaps when The Pies have a night game on - they have a large plasma TV screen.

Hello My name is Pastor Yvonne Smith of Praise In The Earth Institute in Chicago,Illinois. The church is lotaced in a low income area on the Westside of Chicago. This Thanksgiving Season, Praise In The Earth institute wants to be a blessing to the families that are unable to have proper food for this time. The Church is 501C3 and tax exempt status. I would like to know if Tyson would donate 20 to30 turkeys or chickens to help us feed Gods people. You may call me at 708-450-0699 or 630-926-3612. I thank you for your help in this matter.Your In Christ, Pastor Yvonne SmithPraise In The Earth Institute616 So. Pulaski RoadChicago, Illinois 60624

The food would have cooked more quckliy if an oven bag were used with the car shade cooker. Cooking was slow because the exposed cooking container allows the generated heat to radiate into the air. Note that with your hotpot the cooking cantainer is not exposed therefor allowing heat to build up. Nice vids though! Looking forward to more.
