The waitress was very friendly, surroundings were good, and the place completely empty and void of people ie a bad atmosphere. I think the food was good, but I'm not a big Japanese food fan.
I'd be surprised if this restaurant was still there in a years time.
I was dissapointed by the Wasabi marinated octopus. I'd expected it to be cooked...
Strangely, I left feeling like I hadn't eaten much, but somehow feeling quite full.
The food was good, though I'd recommend the conservative eaters to check with the waiting staff as to whether to chosen dish is cooked or comes out looking like a bowl of partially congealed snot, before ordering. The Soy beans were surprisingly good. I probably wouldn't hurry back myself as I think this wasn't really my cup of tea. The service was also kind of poor, which is surprising considering we were pretty much the only people in there on a Saturday night.
I should add though that the octopus did actually taste quite nice, despite its appearance.
Its location down the alleyway makes it one of those little gems which not many people know about. If they want word to spread, they should probably lift their game on the service.
