Style: Indian. This is a small eatery that might just be the thing if you are in the city at lunchtime. The are supposedly famous for their 'Choley Bhature'.
Ambience:
Price: Cheap. Mains with rice for under $10. Student discounts available. ( menu )
Details: Fully licenced and B.Y.O.
Special Comments: Just up from Russell Street junction.
Bhatura is a deep fried bread which goes extremely well with chole. These are made of all purpose flour as opposed to puris which are made of whole wheat flour. These taste best when served hot, direct out of the kadai. They tend to get chewy, stretchy when they are not warm.

Keeping in mind that this is really just a simple curry cafe and not a restaurant, I think the food was great - and reasonably priced too. I would certainly consider going back, particularly if I were in the city at lunchtime. The 'Choley Bhature' is an ideal choice and a type of bread (bhature - fried) that you rarely come across, sadly.
When I went there I found the place to be very busy for a small restaurant and food and service was very efficient and prompt as well as taste to complement there dishes
